Terms of sale and use
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the “AI Act Register Pilot” browser extension (the “Extension”), the website aiactpilot.leandro-sierra.com (the “Site”) and the paid Solo and Agency subscriptions (the “Services”). They apply to any use, free or paid.
2. Publisher
The Extension and the Site are published by Leandro Sierra, sole trader. Full details are set out in the legal notice. Contact: contact@leandro-sierra.com.
3. Description of the service
The Extension detects, locally and by domain name, the artificial-intelligence tools opened in the user's browser, matches them against a built-in catalog, proposes an indicative risk classification under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 and lets the user build an exportable AI system register.
The Extension is a compliance-support tool. It does not constitute legal advice. The proposed classification is indicative, based on public metadata and on the purpose declared by the user. The definitive qualification of the risk level, of the organization's role and of the applicable obligations rests solely with the user and, where appropriate, with their legal counsel.
4. Tiers and prices
- Free: free of charge, unlimited in time. Detection, classification, register and CSV/JSON exports unlimited, one organization.
- Solo: €19 per month or €190 per year. Adds the audit-ready PDF register, the transparency notice generator, obligation tracking, review reminders, timestamped history and attestation.
- Agency: €49 per month or €490 per year. Adds management of ten organizations and the white-label register.
Prices exclude applicable taxes. VAT is calculated and displayed at checkout based on the customer's country and status. Subscriptions have no minimum term and renew automatically until cancelled.
5. Free trial
A fourteen (14) day trial of the Solo tier is offered, with no credit card and no automatic renewal. It is triggered from the Extension options and attached to the licence key of the installation. One trial per licence key. At the end of the trial the tier reverts to Free with no charge whatsoever; the user's data remains intact on their machine.
6. Subscription, payment and licence key
Subscription is made from the Pricing page or from the Extension. Payment is processed exclusively by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. No card data ever transits through our servers or the Extension.
After payment, an opaque licence key is generated, shown on the confirmation page and emailed to the billing address. It must be entered in the Extension options to activate the subscribed tier. The key can be resent at any time from the “Recover my licence key” section of the Pricing page.
The licence key is personal. The Agency tier permits use for up to ten organizations managed by the same professional or firm.
7. Right of withdrawal
Consumers in the European Union benefit from a fourteen (14) day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. By requesting immediate performance of the service (delivery of the licence key upon payment), the consumer acknowledges that this right lapses once the service has been fully performed.
Professionals do not benefit from the right of withdrawal. In practice, the fourteen-day free trial allows every paid feature to be evaluated before any payment. Should a problem arise, write to us: we handle refund requests in good faith within fourteen days of the first payment.
8. Cancellation
The subscription can be cancelled at any time from the Stripe customer portal or by writing to contact@leandro-sierra.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current, already-paid period. No prorated refund is issued for the period started, save for mandatory statutory provisions to the contrary.
Once the paid period ends, the tier reverts to Free. The register, history and previously generated exports remain on the user's machine: they are neither hosted, nor deleted, nor recoverable by the publisher.
9. Data and privacy
The Extension runs entirely locally: it uses no content script, never reads page content, stores no full URL and transmits no detection, register or personal data to any server. The only network exchanges are the licence status check (sending an opaque key) and opening the Stripe payment page.
The Site collects an email address when a visitor joins the waiting list or requests the register template, as well as the billing email upon purchase. Processing details are set out in the privacy policy.
10. Intellectual property
The Extension, the Site, the AI tool catalog, the editorial content and the register templates are protected by copyright. The subscription grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use. The content of the register created by the user belongs entirely to the user.
11. Availability and liability
The Extension works offline; the licence service is provided on a best-effort basis, with no contractual service-level commitment. An outage of the licence service does not immediately downgrade the user's tier: the licence verdict is cached locally.
The publisher cannot be held liable for compliance decisions taken by the user, for the legal qualification of their AI systems, nor for the consequences of an inspection by a supervisory authority. In any event, and save for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, the publisher's liability is limited to the amounts actually paid by the user during the twelve months preceding the triggering event.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may be amended. Subscribers are informed by email at least thirty days before any material change takes effect, with the right to cancel free of charge.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action. Consumers may use a consumer mediator free of charge or the European online dispute resolution platform. Failing agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory rules of jurisdiction applicable to consumers.
AI Act Register Pilot is compliance support for Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, not legal advice.
